| 分類に関するメモ：Gracilaria perplexaは，Byrne et al. (2002)がオーストラリアで記載した種類です。日本産としては，Yang & Kim (2015) が沖縄県うるま市ホワイトビーチからHydropuntia perplexaとして報告しました。リュウキュウオゴノリ属（Hydropuntia）を認めるかどうかについて，専門家の間で分類学的扱いが二転三転してきましたが，Lyra et al. (2021) は，リュウキュウオゴノリ属を認めず，オゴノリ連（Gracilarieae）に所属する全ての種をオゴノリ属としました。Hydropuntia perplexaもリュウキュウオゴノリ属からオゴノリ属に戻されました。 |
