分類に関するメモ：コナハダ科（Liagoraceae）の紅藻の体に内生または着生しています。日本では，Huisman et al. (2003) が宮古島で採集されたフクレコナハダ（Hommersandiophycus clavatus）の体上に着生していた事を報じています。
